Last week I spoke about the long hours we’ve been putting in and this week was no different. I realized I took a few pictures around sunset so this week’s blog is a series of late evening pictures. The kids are spending time with cousins for a couple of weeks so both Ben and I keep working well after the crew has left for the day. It’s good to get a lot done but we do miss the kids–and the balance of life they provide!
Mowing down a clover cover crop and admiring the light hitting the treeline. Lots of baby bunnies went scurrying away as the tractor approached Sweet Potatoes! We hand weeded this first block of 7 beds so they are looking very good. Next round of sweet corn coming along Finally seeding some beans! I tie a round of tomatoes with twine to hold them up while Ben cultivates for as long as he can see! Winter squash gets covered in kaolin clay to protect from bugs and also extreme heat
