CSA Week 14

This Week’s Harvest

Farm News

We are really starting to feel the shift into our fall season.  The last 2 weeks we have harvested all of our winter squash – spaghetti, honeynut, and butternut squash for a total of 14 bulk bins in the barn ready to be doled out for the remainder of the season.  We are more than half way through our potato harvest and our trailer cooler is filling up with veggies! We have fresh greens back in the shares with Swiss chard and collard greens starting up the rotation.  By the end of the week we’ll have planted all there is to plant and seeded all there is to seed! We are still very much in push mode, with long hours and weekend work for Ben and Emily, but we’ll be going from pie in the sky to-do lists to manageable ones any day now! Enjoy the best of summer AND the beginnings of fall harvest!
