Meet the Crew!
This year we welcome quite a few new employees to Mile Creek. We also have returning members we rely on. The planting, harvest, packing, delivery, weeding doesn’t happen without them! Some work 5 days, some help a couple days. Some even come in when we are desperate to get a task done over the weekend. All together we make it happen!

Xander joins his sister, Charity, for his first summer job. So far harvesting salad mix is his favorite job on the farm! When not working, he can be found with his horses! Robert is currently getting his masters in English but he has gotten the itch to farm! He, his wife and almost 2 year old son live in Dayton. Colleen just graduated high school but still has 4 years experience on veggie farms. She is back for a second year. When she’s not in the dirt, she’s at the library. Anna joins the crew this year. She says her shirt says it all! Charity started at Mile Creek last summer. We are so glad she decided to come back for another season! Planting is her favorite farm job. Brittany (left) has been involved with Mile Creek for several years now and specializes in green house seeding. Nate is back for his third season! He has taken over much of the tractor work including bed preparation, planting, fertilizing and much more. Natalie (left) is new to Mile Creek this year. After a spring of throwing her this and that, she is now primarily in the pack shed in charge of all post harvest washing and packing. Robert is new this year, but not new to farming. He really enjoys local food and small farms. At Mile Creek he specializes in the CSA pack and wholesale pack. Kali has found room for a couple days a week at Mile Creek between her busy schedule. She also works at Ghostlight Coffee and helped start Traditional Yoga Society, a Yoga non-profit in Dayton! The kids get involved too! Evan is always happy to help! Isla earns money for a sketchbook by helping me wash CSA bins over the weekend.
We are grateful for their hard work and interest in growing yummy food! (not pictured: Ian, who delivers our CSA boxes and also our co-op wholesale orders)
