CSA WEEK 5

THIS WEEK’S HARVEST

SAVE THE DATE
Every year we invite our CSA members out to the farm for a field walk. This is a great way to see the farm where your food is produced, see how the season is going and what goodies are still to come, and learn about the ins and outs of organic vegetable farming and ask your questions. This year’s field walk will be Wednesday July 26th from 7 pm to 8:30. We’ll gather around the barns and begin the walk promptly at 7:15. The field travel ways are dirty – either dusty or muddy depending on the weather- and uneven, so we recommend good walking shoes. Strollers have made the journey before, but we recommend choosing an alternate way to bring little ones out the fields. Water bottles are also a good thing to have.  Rain date is the following Wednesday 8/2.  We hope that you can join us!

Kids were visiting with family so we a had a lot of sunset viewings while we worked evenings. If you look closely in the sky you can see a paraglider (I’d love to she their view of the farm!)

Coming Up Next Week (our best guess…) jalapeño peppers, green bell peppers, zucchini, cucumbers, salad mix, swiss chard, sweet onions, tomatoes, basil  and more!
