Farm News: This Week in Pictures

While cutting salad mix, we came across this mama wolf spider with 100,000 babies on her back
This Tomato Hornworm’s days are numbered once these predatory wasp eggs hatch and start eating their first meal!
We had a lot of pretty foggy mornings this week!
The regular potatoes are all harvested!
With the potatoes done we can move on the sweet potatoes. You have to mow the vines first and then use the potato digger to lift the sweet potato clumps out of the ground.
We come through and collect the potatoes into crates which we dump into bulk harvest bins for storage. 2 of 9 beds of sweet potatoes have been dug and we hope to get to the rest of the beds this week.
